Making A Purchase We have tried to make the purchasing process as simple and straight forward as possible. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

To make purchasing several items on the same page as quick as possible we have allowed quantities to be entered and just a single add to cart is required. We believe this improves the speed of purchasing.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price or non-availability of an item, we will always contact you first to ensure that the order is acceptable.

Sometimes you may notice that ordering has been suspended or the site goes offline for a short while. The reason for this is that we are carrying out updates to the store which usually last for a short period of time. We will usually perform these updates at our least busy periods.

When you place an order it is not a guarantee of sale and there is no contract until we have taken payment and shipped the goods. We can refuse orders at our discretion for any undisclosed reason.


Pre-Orders
When we have high demand and stock on order we will offer pre-ordering to allow our customers to pre-order stock and have the complete order delivered when the stock arrives.


Payment Options
We accept debit/credit cards (Switch Maestro, Solo, Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Delta), Nochex, Paypal, cash/cheque/postal orders by post or bank transfer. If you are shopping from outside the UK we only accept British Pounds.

Sending payments without an order reference will delay the order process.

Please note, all offline payment must be received within 3 working days to guarantee your order, if no payment is received within 3 working days we may cancel the order and notify you of this.

For international bank transfers please e-mail us after you have placed your order for full details, you are responsible for paying all fees.

If you are sending cash in the post please send the exact amount as we cannot send change.

Description of Goods

We try our best to offer accurate information on all of our products, we may at times shorten descriptions and ingredients and use general terms. If you require specific information please e-mail us via the contact form.

We offer a wide range of products from various sources with varying dates of production and expiry. At times we will offer items that are short dated at a heavily discounted price - this includes items with a BBE date within a month and a half to 1 week of expiry. We will always display the BBE date in the product description.
Shipping And Handling We use Royal Mail postal services for a majority of orders and couriers for larger orders. The cheapest option will usually be automatically selected in the checkout process but this can be changed if a faster service is available.

Estimated cost of delivery:
Up to 1kg - 21p to £2.75
Up to 5kg - £3 to £5
Up to 20kg - £5 to £8
Up to - 50kg £8 to £15

Delivery is expensive and sweets are quite heavy, we try and keep the delivery cost down by using a range of services offering the lowest price possible according to the weight of the package.

We use Royal Mail services for low weight items including first class, second class, recorded delivery, special delivery and standard parcels.

Larger orders are shipped via DHL, Business Post, Parcel Force, UPS and other major couriers.

Estimated delivery times:
Delivery times vary depending on the shipping option selected.

Standard/Saver Post, Signed For and Saver Parcel Post usually arrive within the time stated. In some cases Royal Mail experience delays of upto 14 days. If you chose to use one of these services and you do not receive you item within 14 days we will investigate and usually offer a replacement or refund at our discretion. References to "days" should be taken as working days.

Courier/Signed For Service
We use UPS, Parcelforce, DHL or other major couriers for a majority of our deliveries although some smaller packages may go by Royal Mail Special Delivery or Recorded. On some occasions orders made late Thursday to be delivered by courier will not be shipped until Monday, this is due to our closure for the Jumuah prayer which makes courier collections difficult.

All delivery times are for UK Mainland only, some parts of Scotland may incurr a surchage - we will advise of this before proceeding.

United Kingdom - Non-Mainland
Unfortunately we have to add a surcharge to packages delivered to Norther Ireland, Channel Islands, Highlands and parts of Scotland. Select the UK Offshore delivery option and before we process your order we will send you a quote for delivery. The surcharge is a charge made to us by the courier, it will usually be between £2 and £5 but may be higher in some cases.

International
All International orders will be quoted before order acceptance. Some shipping prices are available for the USA and most of Europe.
Overseas orders may incurr tax or import duty charges from local customs which the customer is responsible for paying.
As a guide orders delivered to most major European countries will cost from £2 to £15 for upto 10kg and £15 to £20 for orders upto 20kg. Orders delivered to the USA will cost from £3 to £25 for upto 10kg.
International orders require extra time for payment clearance.

Because of the nature of the goods we can guarantee that the goods leave our premisis in perfect condition, we cannot be held responsible for climatic conditions (very warm/cold weather) affecting the goods during transit.

If you receive a package which is badly damaged please refuse the item and mark the delivery documentation damaged. We will examine the goods and arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion usually within 14 days.

If the item was delivered by Royal Mail and there was no signature required on delivery please contact us via the contact form and inform us of any damage.

We cannot deliver to PO Box addresses.

Please note, if a package is returned to us as undelivered we will issue a refund minus the cost of postage. This may occur if you were not available for delivery, or you did not collect the item from the Royal Mail depot/Courier office.
Delivery Schedule We will dispatch your order in 1-2 working days plus handling time, arrival depends on service selcted. International orders delivery cost will be priced separately to obtain the lowest price. We will e-mail you as soon as possible with a price. International orders are subject to a minimum 7 day waiting period to allow us to check for fraud.
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order the item for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges VAT is charged at 17.5% on UK and EU orders, a VAT receipt will be provided. Orders outside of the Eu will be VAT exempt.
Credit Card Security Credit card details are processed offsite, for standard credit card payments we use Protx to process payments. Once the initial checkout process is complete you will be diverted to the Protx secure payment page and finally back to our site. If the Paypal or Nochex payment option is selected you will be taken to the respective payment service provider's secure page. If you select another payment method your details will be passed to us via our own secure payment page.

When you pass through our checkout pages you enter a secure 128bit encrypted area, this is industry standard encryption. You will notice a golden padlock at the bottom of the webpage and also the webpage address will start with https://www.halalcandyuk.com which identifies the secure area of the site. Guarantee We want all our customers to be satisfied with their purchase, if for whatever reason you are not satisfied please read the returns section for details on returning goods.

We prefer all order/sales enquiries be sent by e-mail, we always reply to e-mails as quickly as possible usually the same day. If you do call and you are asked to leave a message please clearly state you order reference or enquiry and we will return your call.
Privacy Policy Halal Candy UK do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies.

Data collected by this site is used to:

Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm

Once you receive an e-mail confirming shipment of your order, we cannot cancel the order as it has left our premisis, you will have to go through the returns process.

If you are not happy with any retail packed goods you have received please contact us by e-mail with your order reference number. We will reply with details of the returns process. Goods must be returned at your cost, we recommend using a signed for service such as Royal Mail's Recorded Delivery service (Insured upto 100 x value of 1st Class).

Please do not return order unless we have authorised the return. Only retail packed goods which are undamaged and unopened can be returned. CDs and DVDs will only be accepted if the seal is unbroken.

Returned items will be examined and refunds processed minus the delivery charge within 14 days of receipt of returned goods. Refunds will exclude delivery charges and will only be made via the previously used payment method.

Returns are only accepted within 7 days of delivery, items to be returned should be appropriately packed and sent by a signed for service such as recorded delivery - the return postage is at your cost.

Returned goods that are unopened but damaged may be rejected or a partial refund offered. If the partial refund is no accepted you are required to make payment to have the goods re-delivered.

Please note, if a package is returned to us as undelivered we will issue a refund minus the cost of postage. This may occur if you were not available for delivery, or you did not collect the item from the Royal Mail depot/Courier office.
